Delhi Metro extends last train timings for India-Bangladesh T20 match at Arun Jaitley Stadium – Infrastructure News

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has announced an extension of last train timings by one hour across all lines on Wednesday, October 9, to accommodate fans attending the highly anticipated India-Bangladesh T20 match at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.

Extended Timings for Last Trains

Officials revealed that the last train from Samaypur Badli will now depart at 12:10 AM, an extension from the usual 11 PM. Similarly, the last train from Millennium City Centre Gurugram will leave at 11:40 PM instead of 11 PM. The adjustments are aimed at ensuring commuter convenience during this significant sporting event.

Additional updates include the last train from Kashmere Gate on the Violet Line, which will depart at 12 AM instead of the standard 11 PM. The last train from Noida City Centre on the Blue Line will leave at 11:45 PM, while the final departures from Rithala and Shaheed Sthal (New Bus Adda) will be at 12:10 AM and 12 AM, respectively.

In light of the match, the Delhi Traffic Police has also announced potential diversions and restrictions on Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg (BSZ Marg) and JLN Marg. Commuters are advised to avoid BSZ Marg from Delhi Gate to ITO Chowk and JLN Marg from Rajghat to Delhi Gate between 5 PM and 11:30 PM on Wednesday.

For added convenience, a shuttle service will be available for spectators using the metro at ITO and Pragati Maidan stations. A park-and-ride facility has been set up at Mata Sundari parking for gates 1 to 8 and 16 to 18, as well as on Rajghat Power House Road and Velodrome Road for gates 9 to 15. Spectators can park their vehicles at these designated locations and use the shuttle service to reach the stadium.
