A strange awakening for these inhabitants of Bouttencourt, a commune in the Somme bordering Blangy-sur-Bresle, this Sunday, October 6. Shortly after 6 a.m., around forty people from rue d’Abbeville (D928), a few dozen meters from the crossroads with the D1015 (Mers-les-Bains-Beauvais axis), had to quickly leave their homes because of a gas leak. This occurred on the exterior meter of a private individual, near number 19, and was apparently caused by the fire of a car.
As soon as the alert was given, significant emergency resources were mobilized. Firefighters from Gamaches and Blangy-sur-Bresle, led by the Vimeu group leader, went to the scene to establish a security perimeter and evacuate the nearest residents.
The party room is not accessible
The mayor of Bouttencourt, Alain Bayart, had opened the village hall to welcome them, but the building was not accessible, being located on the other side of the danger zone!
