Called up in September with the Espoirs of the French team, Andy Diouf was unable to honor this call-up due to an injury. On Thursday, he was summoned again for the October rally.

Silver medalist at the Olympic Games with the Bleuets, Andy Diouf was not at the September gathering. Despite the injury which took him away from the blue jersey, Gérald Baticle has not forgotten him for this new gathering. “It’s true that there are different objectives, whether with the club or with the selection. These are already separate objectives. When I’m at the club I give everything for the club. Afterwards when the truce arrives it’s true that it starts to get closer. We’re working on that, we’re starting to have a well-defined group, we know each other well. With the staff too it’s not going to change, so that helps”explains the midfielder.

First place goal

At 21, Andy Diouf will therefore embark on the qualifiers for the European Espoirs Championship. Two meetings are on the program with a trip to Cyprus, Friday October 11, and the reception of Austria, Tuesday October 15. The French team is currently second in Group H, three points behind Slovenia.
