The day after its arrival in Arles, the Olympic flame continues its journey to the South-East of France this Monday, May 13 for the fifth stage of the great relay which will lead to Paris, for the opening ceremony scheduled for July 26. If you live in Aveyron or Hérault and would like to witness the passage of the flame, here are the places where you should go.

The day will kick off at 8 a.m. Millau Viaduct. This cable-stayed bridge, one of the longest in the country, has been essential for developing commercial and industrial activities in the Aveyron region and will launch the route, which will take the torchbearers to the town of Millau at 8:40 a.m. A stage which will allow the flame to pass through the Grandes Causses Regional Natural Park and which will conclude at Place du Mandarous at 9:30 a.m.

The rest will take place at 11:30 a.m. on the Mont-Saint-Clair, the hill located on the heights of Sète. The festivities will resume at Juvignac (3:30 p.m.-4:5 p.m.), where The convoy will leave Sanofi headquarters before taking rue du Pilory and the route de Lodève to finish its journey on rue de la Voie Lactée.

The day will end with the arrival of the flame at Montpellier. It will leave the green surroundings of the Promenade du Peyrou at 4:50 p.m., pass in front of the Arc de Triomphe before reaching the famous Place de la Comédie at 5:10 p.m. The nerve center of the city, the latter will let the emblem of Olympism leave at 5:25 p.m., heading to Place de l’Europe via the Jardin des Plantes, Saint-Roch station, the Town Hall and the Antigone district. . It is on this square, located between the city center and the banks of the Lez, that the Olympic cauldron will be lit at 7:20 p.m. and the end of the day festivities will take place.
