Discover the untold history of Toulouse

History buffs can discover 19th century Toulouse in the company of Madame Rose, a brothel owner who will tell you the secrets of the naughty life of the Pink City in the 1880s and her experience as a pimp. This unique guided tour, organized by the tourist tour agency Epok Tour and carried out in period costume, is a real invitation to travel back in time. The first visit starts at Place Saint-Georges, in the morning of Wednesday May 8. Other dates are scheduled through September. Reservations are required, with the number of places limited to 25 people. Prices vary between 7 and 15 euros. More information here.

In addition, the agency is organizing a second guided tour in 18th century costume in the streets of the Pink City. Madame de Cambon, descendant of the illustrious Pierre-Paul Riquet, invites visitors to plunge into the heart of the 1780s to discover the life of Toulouse high society on the eve of the French Revolution. The visit takes place in the Saint-Étienne district, the Saturday May 11 from 15 hours. Other dates are scheduled through September. The doors of several Toulouse museums also remain open on Wednesday May 8 and Thursday May 9at usual times: the Saint-Raymond museum which is currently offering a superb exhibition on the Cathar crusade, the Jacobins convent which invites visitors to immerse themselves for around thirty minutes in the daily life of Toulouse residents in the Middle Ages, notably by donning period costumes to understand the evolution of fashion, but also the Abattoirs museum, the Cité de l’espace and the EDF Bazacle space.

Want to fight zombies, immerse yourself in the world of Alice in Wonderland during an escape game or save Notre-Dame Cathedral from the flames?
