Festivals are becoming more and more numerous with the arrival of the heat. Ranging from Outaouais to Montérégie, here are the regions with outings not to be missed this weekend.

In Gatineau, the Saucette en Showsettes festival allows its visitors to do karaoke, enjoy the outdoors and see drag queen shows hosted by Barbada. Culinary happy hours are on the menu. The legendary Quebec group Karkwa will also be in concert on Saturday. Inflatable games will be in place for families on Sunday.

The World Beer Show will please drink lovers this weekend in Montreal. For its 30th edition, the organization offers unique flavors with its 400 different products, including several imports from Europe. Some shows are on the program which will end on Sunday.

In Rouyn-Noranda, the popular World Guitar Festival will celebrate the famous string instrument. Until June 1, some artists will come and play some acoustic pieces, including Richard Séguin and his guests on the main stage. Workshops to better understand the design of the instrument will also be accessible to all. “It’s a very nice meeting on the Abitibi side,” says the columnist.

On the Montérégie side, in Saint-Lambert, the 14th edition of the Classica Festival will take place until June 16. Mozart, Chopin, Queen and many more artists will be honored during this event which will present 23 concerts in all.

In Mirabel, in the Laurentians, the very first Norwest country festival will take place until Sunday. Rodeo competition, music and line dancing are the main activities offered to festival-goers.

In Lanaudière, the town of Saint-Gabriel-de-Brandon will host the 8th edition of Festitrad until Sunday, where traditional music will be at the heart of the performances for the weekend.
