Mika Godts recorded a 0-2 win with Ajax against red lantern RKC Waalwijk on Sunday afternoon on the seventh matchday of the Eredivisie. The young Belgian again proved accurate for the Dutch record champion, a few days after his goals against Besiktas in the Europa League.

Mika Godts claimed a leading role at Ajax on Thursday with two goals against Besiktas (4-0), but had to settle for a place on the bench against Waalwijk. The 19-year-old Belgian was brought onto the field a little after half-time and once again put himself in the spotlight by scoring the 0-2 in added time. More than fifteen minutes earlier, Bertrand Traore (76.) had scored the opening goal.

Godts already has four goals and four assists this season. It was his first goal in the competition. Last Thursday he scored twice in the Europa League against Besiktas. Our compatriot had also already scored in the Europa League qualifiers.

Last month, Godts was called up for the Belgian U21, but he had to miss due to a minor injury.

Thanks to the victory, Ajax (10 points) climbs to fifth place. Leader PSV has eleven points more than Amsterdam, but already has two more games under its belt.
