On Saturday, the Israeli army reported carrying out strikes on “140 Hezbollah targets” since Friday evening in southern and eastern Lebanon, and claimed to have killed one of his commanders and his deputy in a raid in southern Lebanon.

In the southern neighborhoods of Beirut, hundreds of families had to leave their homes in the middle of the night after an evacuation warning from the Israeli army. Most slept outside.

Since Monday, Israeli bombings have killed more than 700 people, mostly civilians, according to the Lebanese Ministry of Health. In one year, the number of people killed rose to more than 1,500, a death toll higher than that of the thirty-three days of war between Israel and Hezbollah in 2006.
