Despite a double course in Spanish/Communication, I decided to take control of my dreams by heading into journalism. With a master’s degree in sports journalism, I cover sports and football news with as much admiration for transfer periods, when a club must make crucial choices for next season.

This summer, PSG eyed several world-class players. This was the case with Joshua Kimmich. At the end of his contract in 2025, the Bayern Munich midfield star preferred to stay one more season in Bavaria. President of the German giant, Herbert Hainer has also announced that the future of the 29-year-old player should be written at Bayern.

The PSG will have experienced a lively summer transfer window. The capital club, for once, has decided to focus on youth. The arrivals of the very promising João Neves et Désiré Doué this summer, allowed Luis Enrique to benefit from great talents within its midfield.

PSG thought about Joshua Kimmich this summer

But clearly, the Parisian club would also have liked to attract a more experienced profile in this sector of the game. PSG notably eyed Joshua Kimmichwho was not necessarily against a departure from Bayern Munich. The new captain of the team ultimately stayed in Bavaria, but his contract expires at the end of the season. Something to give hope for PSG in this folder? Not really.

“Jo knows exactly how much we appreciate him”

President of Bayern Munich, Herbert Hainer affirmed this Friday that the desire of the German club was to extend Joshua Kimmich. “We will of course try. Jo knows exactly how much we appreciate him, what we have in him, and we tell him that again and again. I think he feels very, very comfortable at Bayern. He is playing brilliantly, still progressing, and in this regard, I wish him nothing other than to one day end his career at FC Bayern.”said the latter during an interview for theEvening newspaper.
