(Keystone-ATS) At least nine people were killed in a double Russian strike targeting a hospital in the Sumy region in northeastern Ukraine, the Ukrainian Interior Ministry announced on Saturday. There are many injured.

“In Sumy, the Russians struck a medical establishment twice: so far, six people have been killed,” Interior Minister Igor Klymenko announced on Telegram. A little later, the toll rose: “It is now established that nine people were killed and 12 were injured,” the Sumy regional administration announced on Telegram.

Chinese warning to the UN

For his part, the Chinese Minister of Foreign Affairs warned on Saturday at the UN platform against an “expansion” of the conflict in Ukraine. “The first priority is to engage against an expansion of the battlefield, an escalation of fighting and any provocation by any party,” Wang Yi said.
