A fire broke out in a commercial building in downtown Cowansville overnight from Thursday to Friday. The Main Street sector should be avoided on Friday morning, says the City on its Facebook page.
Photos published by the Municipality reveal that it was the building located at 121, rue Principale which fell prey to the flames. This building houses many businesses, including the newspaper premises. The Cowansville Guide.

The blaze started a little after midnight. According to the Sûreté du Québec (SQ), no injuries were reported. The authorities also indicate that it could be an arson in light of preliminary information collected by firefighters.
