Duration of position : 20 weeks (from June 3 to October 18, 2024)
Hourly : 35 hours per week (Monday to Friday), hybrid work (teleworking and face-to-face)
Remuneration : 20$/hour

job description
The communications officer will support the communications team in its various outreach strategies for the organization as well as in the process of producing marketing, promotion and advertising materials for the various projects and initiatives deployed by Culture pour tous. Under the supervision of the communications director, this person will:

  • Write certain content (newsletters, promotional documents, emails, press releases, etc.);
  • Create original content for social media (visuals, articles, etc.);
  • Lead and monitor social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok);
  • Respect the approval process, work deadlines and publication schedule;
  • Ensure compliance with the graphic standards of Culture pour tous and its various projects;
  • Assist in coordination and production monitoring with different suppliers;
  • Ensure presence at various events identified by management;
  • Perform any other related task.

OBJECTIVES OF THE COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER

  • Become familiar with the cultural and non-profit sector in Quebec;
  • Tame the different communication/promotion/advertising tools for different large-scale cultural events and initiatives;
  • Assume responsibility for the various deliverables and deadlines of the projects entrusted to him.

Required profile

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications or any other relevant training, completed or in progress;
  • Excellent command of French (bilingualism, an asset);
  • Ability to work in a team;
  • Good interpersonal skills and ease of communication;
  • Good judgment and autonomy;
  • Great sense of organization and ability to complete several projects simultaneously;
  • Excellent writing skills, great rigor and creativity;
  • Sense of initiative and responsibility.

ADVANTAGES

  • Experience in customer service;
  • Good knowledge of social media (Facebook, Twitter and Instagram).

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Have a letter of eligibility for the wage subsidy from Emploi Québec
  • Great interest in arts and culture;
  • Availability and flexibility.
