CANAL+ in very advanced discussions with Warner Bros Discovery for the integration of Max

CANAL+ wants to continue integrating platforms into its offers. The French group is also in advanced discussions to take over Max who will soon arrive in France.

For some time now, CANAL+ has been offering platforms through its offers, enough to enhance the encrypted channel by also offering the best content wherever it is.

Discussions at an advanced stage

And CANAL+ is today continuing this strategy which has enabled it to recruit many new subscribers and especially many young people with extremely attractive offers such as the RAT+ subscription for those under 26 and which makes it possible to divide the price by two.

This time, CANAL+ is targeting a new platform, Max. The talks are “very advanced with Warner” according to Maxime Saada, chairman of the board of directors of the CANAL+ group, to Le Figaro.

It is therefore possible that the platform, which will be presented on May 30 in France, will become an option for CANAL+ offers in the future. To see in what form this will be done, in any case Warner Bros Discovery does not want an exclusivity contract with an operator or broadcaster. The encrypted channel will therefore not be the only one to offer Max.

On the other hand, the possibility of seeing Prime Video in CANAL + offers seems to be getting further and further away. Maxime Saada indicated “they do without us and we do without them” regarding Prime Video, the group would nevertheless be “very favorable to the idea of distributing them”.
