Andrew Garfield just became a meme at the 2025 Golden Globes.

At the Jan. 5 ceremony, the “We Live in Time” actor stood alongside Kerry Washington as they presented the award for best performance by a female actor in a motion picture.

However, when Garfield slowly started to put on his glasses to read the teleprompter, viewers were sent into a frenzy. And it was truly a sight to be seen: As he brought the eyewear to his face, he wore a half-buttoned shirt and made eye contact with the camera.

“the way andrew garfield just put on his glasses,” one person wrote on X.

“Andrew Garfield putting on his reading glasses is going to change a lot of people fundamentally. Me included,” a second wrote.

“Is anyone else still thinking about Andrew Garfield putting on his glasses and staring into our souls on the #GoldenGlobes stage,” another asked the universe.

One fan wrote on X that Garfield putting on his glasses was “the hottest thing” they’d ever seen, while another penned that they were “still hyperventilating” over the incident.

Another joked, “Cause of death: Andrew Garfield putting on his glasses to read the teleprompter”

After Garfield put on his reading glasses, and promptly made the internet go wild, he and Washington revealed that Demi Moore had won the Golden Globe trophy.

Moore made her made up to the stage, saying she “really wasn’t expecting” to win and that she was in “shock.”

She ended her emotional acceptance speech with words of wisdom.

“In those moments when we don’t think we’re smart enough or pretty enough or skinny enough or successful enough — or basically, just not enough — I had a woman say to me, ‘Just know, you will never be enough. But you can know the value of your worth if you just put down the measuring stick,” she said.
