An influencer was arrested on Friday January 3, 2025 in the morning in Brest in Finistère. Zazou Youssef, who would have a certain notoriety on social networks, encouraged his subscribers to “let the powder talk” in France.
At 6 a.m. Friday January 3, 2025, residents of a neighborhood in Brest (Finistère) were surprised by an impressive police operation. The RAID (search, assistance, intervention, deterrence) and the BRI (research and intervention brigade) arrested a man. Youssef A., known as Zazou Youssef, is a 25-year-old Algerian influencer.
On December 31, his profile seen by hundreds of thousands of people was reported to the authorities after a video in which he called for violent acts to be committed in Paris. The influencer was arrested for advocating terrorism, inciting hatred and violence. Under OQTF (obligation to leave the territory) since April 2024 and already sentenced to one year in prison for violence during the riots linked to the death of Nahel, he is currently in police custody with a second person.
