Météo- has put 27 departments on yellow alert for violent winds, avalanches and snowfall predicted in the territory.

Caution is required today for the North and the region, the West, the , Savoie and the Ardennes. Indeed, violent winds, avalanches and snowfall are expected there. This bulletin uses weather reports updated today at 5:00 a.m.

Risks of violent winds in 25 departments
Météo-France has issued a yellow alert bulletin for the North and the Paris region, the West as well as the Loiret due to violent winds with gusts reaching 92 km/h in the afternoon. This vigilance is valid until tomorrow at 6:00 a.m.

A department on avalanche alert
In addition, the snow cover will be very unstable in Savoie. The snow will be wet, fresh, and spontaneous snow slides may occur. At the same time, variations in temperature and weather could accelerate the melting of the snow, and the surrounding watercourses could react downstream, causing potential flooding. This yellow alert will be taken into consideration until midnight this evening.

Snowfall in a department
Météo-France announces a yellow alert for snowfall for the Ardennes today (0.02 cm expected in places). A feeling of -4°C may accompany these snowfalls. The end of this yellow alert is expected tomorrow at noon.
