This is how the year 2025 can begin: At the end of the New Year’s show, Joko Winterscheidt and Klaas Heufer-Umlauf were beaming from both sides. On the one hand, this may have been due to the duo’s victory in the special edition of “Joko & Klaas against ProSieben”. On the other hand, Heufer-Umlauf announced meaningfully after the triumph in the final roulette game: “We have come up with something different. It’s a new year, let’s bring in a bit of fresh air.”

But this “breath of fresh air” does not consist of another slapstick show, as Joko and Klaas have often used the airtime they gained in the past. Instead, ProSieben expects a far-reaching intervention: the broadcaster must change its name from January 2nd – to “ProAcht”. “With everything that goes with it and everything that goes with it,” demanded Heufer-Umlauf. The rule should apply for a whole week.

ProSieben reacts with irony: “Eight eight o’clock. Funny.”

ProSieben fairly congratulated the team of presenters on their victory via How far-reaching the name change is making waves immediately became a topic of discussion among TV fans on social media. The first viewers have already published logo suggestions, and another even wanted to know whether “ProAcht” would also be mentioned in television magazines.

TV Germany might be smarter on Thursday evening. After the triumph against their home broadcaster, Joko and Klaas posted on their official ProSieben then reacted with irony: “Eight eight o’clock. Funny.” At the same time, the broadcaster suggested to Joko and Klaas: “You take care of the new logo, we will then prepare everything.” A little later the two answered briefly and succinctly: “Deal.”
