Sophie Ellis-Bextor’s New Year’s Eve Disco

This New Year’s Eve, Queen of the dance floor Sophie Ellis-Bextor will be joined on stage by fellow disco sensation Jessie Ware, Scissor Sisters frontman Jake Shears, Emily Roberts guitarist with The Last Dinner Party and the MDL Singers, who are guaranteed to bring in 2025 on BBC One and iPlayer with plenty of glitz and glamour!
Made by BBC Studios Entertainment Productions, this glittering TV event promises to be a night to remember as Sophie performs her global hits as well as some surprise numbers. This end of year celebration will be the perfect grand finale to 2024.
Sophie Ellie-Bextor will be partying through the evening on New Year’s Eve from 11.30pm with the party continuing after the fireworks at 12.10am.
Jools Holland’s Annual Hootenanny

Jools Holland and his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra welcome in the new year with Jools’ Annual Hootenanny. Jools counts down the seconds to midnight with a stellar line-up of artists and a celebrity audience to offer predictions and resolutions for the coming year.
It’s set to be the best New Year’s Eve party for viewers to enjoy from the comfort of their homes.
Hogmanay 2024
BBC One Scotland and BBC Scotland from 11.30pm
Join Amy Irons in the countdown to midnight with music from Scottish pop icon Marti Pellow, Celtic folk-rock group from the Highlands and Islands Skipinnish and Bellshill country folk singer-songwriter Rianne Downey.
Also, some of Scotland’s biggest stars of TV join Amy on the sofa to look back at their highlights of 2024. And we welcome in 2025 live with the traditional Lone Piper high on the ramparts of Edinburgh Castle and the midnight gun marking the start of the New Year, along with the traditional spectacular fireworks display soundtracked by the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra.
