A 33 year old man and a 25 year old woman
This first survivor is a 33-year-old steward. He suffers from multiple fractures but is “fully able to communicate” according to medical staff. He does not suffer from memory loss or other cognitive disorders.
The other surviving crew member was a 25-year-old woman with injuries to her ankle and head, Yonhap news agency reported. Hospitalized in another health establishment, she is in stable condition, according to the Guardian.
The accident occurred Sunday morning on the tarmac of Muan airport, a city located 290 kilometers south of Seoul, during the landing of this flight arriving from Bangkok.
A video of the crash broadcast by the local channel MBC went around the world: it shows the aircraft – a Boeing 737-800 which entered service in 2009, according to the specialist site Flightradar – landing with smoke. escaping from the engines. The plane hit a wall at the end of the runway and was immediately engulfed in flames.
