FREIBURG: Before the Germany game in Freiburg, the national team from Bosnia-Herzegovina gets on the roller coaster. The coach definitely had respect for it, a Bundesliga professional is watching.
The rollercoaster ride before the Germany game presented Bosnia-Herzegovina national coach Sergej Barbarez with a challenge. “I didn’t know exactly what to expect,” said the former Bundesliga player before the Nations League game on Saturday (8.45 p.m./RTL) in Freiburg. “I’m actually not a fan of things like that either.”
The selection of guests made a surprise visit to the nearby Europa-Park on Wednesday, and pictures show the team sitting on the roller coaster. Stuttgart’s Ermedin Demirovi? However, he didn’t join in. “I was watching downstairs, I’m not a fan of it,” said the 26-year-old. “This is of course special for the team because we did something outside of football to strengthen the team.”
The coaching team surprised the team with the idea. «We didn’t know what it was about until shortly before we arrived. I thought it was really good, everyone had fun,” said the Bundesliga professional. Barbarez said: “I am very happy to coach this team.”
Bosnia-Herzegovina faces an extremely difficult task in the Nations League. A defeat in Freiburg against Germany would mean relegation from the A-League.
