The November full moon has been associated with the beaver, because it is in November that these animals begin to prepare for the cold. They build dams and stock up on food. The nickname could also come from the fact that during this period, hunters traditionally set beaver traps to collect their fur.
After November 15, you will have to wait until November 24, 2026 to observe the next Beaver Moon. “In 2025, the November full moon will be just after the Harvest Moon and will therefore, according to tradition, be called the Hunters' Moon,” notes Starwalk. It will take place on November 5. As for the next full moon – and last of the year – it is expected on December 15.
