River Brigade will be broadcast this evening on France 2. But did the actors perform their own stunts for this TV film whose action takes place on the water? The production response
This evening, France 3 offers its viewers a brand new TV film which should please all fans of police investigations. Entitled “River Brigade”, this 90-minute fiction also allows us to see familiar faces of the general public again.
Three actors from Sous le Soleil reunited in Brigade du rivière
Thomas Jouannet plays Commander Flaubert while Roxane Turmel (Plus belle la vie) slips into the skin of Katia Lestrade. But that's not all since two emblematic actors from Under the Sun are also there. Indeed, Ibrahim Koma and David Brécourt found each other during a film shoot.
Remember, the first played Zacharie, the adopted son of the second Baptiste in the successful series from the late 90s. However, it is above all the presence of Bénédicte Delmas behind the camera which will bring back good memories to the most nostalgic. The unforgettable Laure thus directed the TV film.
River Brigade was filmed at the Château de Chambord
Last April, the River Brigade team went to Tours, Blois but also to the Château de Chambord to put together the majority of the scenes from the fiction. Considered as a potential pilot that could lead to a series, France 3 could therefore launch the filming of several episodes if the audience is there.
As its title indicates, the river brigade spends a lot of time on the water. But then, did the actors have to follow any special training? Did they perform their own stunts? The production agreed to answer us: “Our actors had sequences at the pool for swimming and diving.”
“They also had lessons for piloting the boat but not for diving in the river. We used doubles.” So they are not the ones diving into the depths of the lake. To see or rewatch the TV film, go to the France TV replay.
