With its new LG gram, the Korean brand is playing the current trends card. At the heart of this new generation, we find hybrid artificial intelligence which promises to make devices more intuitive and efficient.
All-round AI
Two main technologies stand out: “LG gram chat On-Device”, a local bot that works without an internet connection, and “LG gram chat Cloud”, an online platform powered by OpenAI’s GPT-4o model. The local version uses the EXAONE model developed by LG to ensure data privacy while offering convenient tools like Time Travel, a feature that makes it easier to search through recent content.
For its part, gram chat Cloud goes further by integrating connected services such as calendar or email management. Practical for professionals, this solution however requires a connection to the web and will be payable after a year of free subscription included with the purchase.
The 2025 range includes several models, designed to adapt to all kinds of needs.
- LG gram Pro 17Z90TR: with its Intel Arrow Lake processor and NVIDIA RTX 4050 graphics card, this model is designed for creators, gamers and those who need a sturdy computer. Its high-resolution screen (2,560 × 1,600) makes it a top choice for graphics and multimedia tasks.
- LG gram Pro 2-in-1 16T90TP: flexible and versatile, this convertible model comes with a wireless stylus. It stands out for its 1800p OLED screen and its compact design, well suited for those who move around a lot.
- LG gram Book: More accessible, this entry-level model offers a 15.6-inch Full HD screen and a light weight. Ideal for basic use, it is aimed at those looking for a simple and effective solution.
In terms of performance, the new gram (yes, the “g” is tiny now at LG) feature the latest generation Intel processors, Arrow Lake and Lunar Lake, which optimize both power and capabilities linked to artificial intelligence. The most advanced models offer up to 32 GB of RAM and 2 TB of storage.
True to its philosophy, LG maintains the iconic lightness of the gram range, while enriching the user experience with features like Gram Link 2.0, which facilitates synchronization between devices. According to YS Lee, spokesperson for LG, this new generation seeks to “ stimulate creativity and productivity, while remaining practical and accessible ».
If prices still remain a mystery, LG promises announcements soon. In the meantime, the brand seems ready to score points with those looking for reliable and connected tools, without compromising on design.
