Lynk&Co presents its first electric model, the Z10 sedan

Starting a little late, Geely is catching up on the electric vehicle market. The Lynk&Co Z10 is its third sedan presented in barely six months.

Would the growth in electric vehicle sales favor the return of sedans? While waiting for the necessary support from customers, this is already the case in terms of offers from Chinese manufacturers. We are seeing the proliferation of large electric sedans in their dealerships and Lynk&Co is joining the party with the Z10. A model which will therefore face its cousins Zeekr 007 and Geely Galaxy E8, but also the Luxeed S7, Xiaomi SU7, Dongfeng eπ007, Arcfox αS5, Rising F7, Jiyue Robo 07…

Compared to all these rivals, Lynk&co’s first electric model stands out for the identity that the brand has managed to create. We remain on a fastback profile for this large sedan, 5028 mm long, placed on a wheelbase of 3005 mm (1966 mm wide and 1468 mm high). Announced by the concept The Next Day, it presents taut lines and a light signature cut with claws. Which in no way prevents a good result in terms of aerodynamics with a Cd of 0.198, thanks to controlled flaps at the front and a movable wing at the rear.

Less original inside

Inside, the Z10 ticks almost all the boxes of the typical Chinese sedan: large central screen (15.4 inches), small Lotus-style speedometer and large head-up display, ventilated, heated and massaging seats at the front and back. the rear, two-spoke steering wheel, stripped-down central console, two cameras, dynamic lighting ambiance, perfume diffuser…

Following the acquisition of Meizu by Geely, it is the phone producer which signs the operating system (on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 processor) and the audio system.

Battery capacities are not communicated, but the Z10 with the longest range is given for 800 km of CLTC autonomy, or around 650 km in WLTP. In terms of performance, the double SiC motor version displays 580 kW (270 + 310). In propulsion, two versions of 200 and 310 kW are mentioned, from 2098 kg.
