While the OnePlus 13, the Realme GT7 Pro and the Xiaomi 15 feature Qualcomm's new chip, the Snapdragon 8 Elite, the smartphone market leader is eagerly awaited: Samsung.
The latest news was that rumors estimated that all models in the Galaxy S25 range would feature this recent high-end processor… but they ultimately seem to run counter to reality.

Recent benchmarks, i.e. performance tests, indeed show divergences between models. We indeed discover the presence of a Samsung chip, the SM-S936B (supposedly the Exynos 2500) for the Galaxy S25+ and the Snapdragon 8 Elite for the Galaxy S25 Ultra.
Samsung would thus still be working on a processor succeeding the Exynos 2400 in the Galaxy S24 and S24+. We can therefore assume that the Galaxy S25 and S25+ sold in certain markets, such as Europe, will be entitled to this chip instead of the Snapdragon 8 Elite.
This means less performance, given that Samsung has still not caught up with the American founder Qualcomm with its Snapdragon chips.
These performance tests also make it possible to compare the first results of Samsung's tests on these two smartphones:
- Galaxy S25+ :

- Galaxy S25 Ultra :

We thus have very different scores between these models, the gap between which should logically narrow over the coming months thanks to new optimizations from Samsung on its new Exynos. However, it is more than safe to say that the Snapdragon 8 Elite will remain well above the rest, therefore guaranteeing the Galaxy S25 Ultra to be the most powerful smartphone in the range.
