“Yes, I think my future can follow this path. In any case, I want to believe it.” Post-prison reintegration through the seventh art is the path that Alain and Valentine, two former prisoners, should most likely follow. During their incarceration, they both participated in Pulsationan independent film written and directed by Sébastien L. Roussin, and presented this Saturday, November 2 at the Le Studio cinema, in Bastia.
The originality of this film production? A plot entirely imagined by prisoners of the Borgo penitentiary center. For several months, Alain, Jean-Marie, Ghjilormu, Julien and Jean-Paul worked on this 71-minute feature film. In total, there are twelve of them involved in this artistic adventure.
A very first in France
A very first in France, which has sparked vocations. “It was an unforgettable experience, I really don’t regret this projectcontinues Alain. Being confronted with cameras allowed me to get out of my comfort zone and today, I want to make films.” A wish which already seems on the verge of coming true, since the young man – just like Valentine – will join the cast of Sébastien L. Roussin’s next production. “This is also the message of this filmunderlines the latter. LBeautiful stories can be born anywhere, even in prison.”
