OnePlus 13 reveals the first secrets of its photo sensors

OnePlus acts as a good student in a market dominated by the Apple/Samsung duo. Its smartphones are very popular and a solid community has been created around the Chinese company. It is therefore no surprise that its future model, the OnePlus 13, is highly anticipated. Digital Chat Station gives us new information about it.

A Hasselblad camera

This information, coming from China, should be taken with a grain of salt, even if Digital Chat Station is a reliable whistleblower. The OnePlus 13 would have a triple camera module including three 50-megapixel sensors. As a reminder, the previous generation had a 64 Mpx telephoto lens. If there is a loss in definition on a theoretical level, it is a safe bet that OnePlus has opted for a sensor with larger photosites, allowing (on paper again) to perfect the image quality.

Nor should we forget software optimization to improve the rendering of images which, we hope, will be improved. To do this, the company would continue its partnership born in 2021 with Hasselblad, a Swedish manufacturer recognized for its know-how in the design of the camera.

A release date for next November?

For the rest, previous rumors evoke the presence of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC, the presentation of which will take place in October 2024, as announced by Qualcomm. Digital Chat Stationdecidedly talkative about the OnePlus 13, also indicates the integration of an imposing 6000 mAh battery, but to the detriment of wireless charging, which is nevertheless available on the 12 model. There are finally rumors of a release date for the OnePlus 13 next November.
