And hurry up to observe it because, barring obstacles on its path modifying the trajectory, Tsuchinshan-ATLAS follows an orbit which should not bring it closer to the Earth for 80,000 years…

From emotion

Saturday October 12, around 8:20 p.m., the comet passed through the sky of Landes. It was the amateur photographer Thomas Castel, already known here for his photos and videos on the Northern Lights and his photos of a spectacular arcus and the “super blue moon”, who immortalized this moment. He says:

“It wasn’t easy because there were many clouds on the horizon. While I thought I had missed it, it ended up appearing much taller than expected. I dreamed of being able to immortalize it with the headlights of the boom, which technically is not easy when the headlights are on. So I took a photo with the red lighthouse. » To see it, the eyes are enough. But Thomas Castel warns: “I still recommend having a good pair of binoculars to enjoy this spectacle. » Moved, the photographer processed his photos from his car just after taking the photo. “The processing consists mainly of removing the defects produced by my somewhat old camera. He is struggling in these difficult conditions. But the photos here come as close as possible to reality. This kind of moment is always a lot of emotion. »
