The Les 5 Sens nursing home in Landouge recently organized the 7 e edition of its plant swap.

Despite the poor weather preventing us from enjoying the establishment’s patios, this friendly event made it possible to set up a large room with a wide variety of plants and decorations, but also to introduce the nursing home to the public.

As in previous years, residents offered to exchange various plants, tomatoes, salads and other vegetable plants, as well as decorative indoor and outdoor plants. Several partners were present during this event, organized in collaboration with the Les 4 Printemps association. Indeed, the Aradian classic automobile association offered visitors rides in vintage cars and Gilbert, a beekeeper, explained his job, had people taste his different honeys with a small exhibition around this nectar, all while leading workshops. creative workshops for families and caregivers.

The memory of the musette balls

A musical entertainment with accordionist Roger Faure was greatly appreciated by residents like Georges Benoist, 82 years old, staying at 5 Sens, who really liked the music. His son, Frédéric, said that the accordion reminded him of the musette balls that punctuated his entire life. The funds gleaned during this event, like those of the Les 4 Printemps association, will fully benefit the residents of the nursing home, whether for the monthly show, the residents’ birthdays or the plan for a summer outing.
