Amanda Seyfried talks openly with her children about death since losing pets.

The 38-year-old actress has a 15-year-old dog called Finn and said her children are aware of his advanced age.

She told People magazine: “They know it’s an older dog, and my daughter in particular, she knows things die, but you spend a lot of time with them, you respect them, you love them, you give the best life you can, and then they leave, and you remember them. This is the most positive effect we can have. »

The ‘Mamma Mia’ star, who lives on a farm and owns several chickens, many horses, several goats and a donkey, also admitted that living with many animals has made it easier for her to talk about death with her young children.

She added: “What I learned from living on a farm was that I was exposed to a lot of death, and that helped shape my relationship with death. And I’m pretty sure my kids will have a better understanding and appreciation of life and death because of the farm. »
