Attractive design with integrated stylus
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite version 2024 offers an elegant metal chassis and a 10.4″ screen with relatively wide edges. It does not differ much from its previous version (2020) but remains pleasant to handle thanks to its matte finish which minimizes fingerprints. Lightweight at 456 grams, it is also accompanied by an S Pen stylus, a major advantage for creative people or note-taking.
However, despite its neat look and the presence of the S Pen, it shows certain limitations in terms of connectivity. We note the absence of IP certification for water and dust resistance, and it still makes do with a USB 2.0 port, an outdated choice for a 2024 tablet. The internal memory, although expandable via a microSD port, is 128 GB on this version, part of which is occupied by the operating system.
Correct performance for daily use
Under its chassis, the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite is equipped with the Exynos 1280 processor. Although it is not the most powerful on the market, it is perfect for everyday tasks such as internet browsing, video streaming or even the famous note taking. Additionally, with Android 14 and One UI 6.1, the user experience is smooth and intuitive.
The tablet is, however, a little limited for more demanding uses, such as video games or intensive multitasking. With its 4 GB of RAM, it can show some slowness in demanding applications. It’s going to be complicated to launch a 3D game and maintain a certain fluidity. It is better to reserve the tablet for media use, such as streaming, or productivity, especially since it is offered here with a Bluetooth keyboard included in the Book cover.
