A health walk for Madrilenians.
For his second match of the year, Real Madrid played this Monday in Cartagena, against Deportiva Minera (0-5)fourth division resident. Carlo Ancelotti’s men made short work of their opponents, who didn’t really have time to entertain the slightest glimmer of hope since after only five minutes of play, Federico Valverde penalized a poor release of an unstoppable recovery at the far post (0-1, 5e). Eduardo Camavinga then corsed the addition by heading a good cross from Fran García (0-2, 13e).
Not satisfied, Meringues even added a third goal just before the half-hour mark thanks to a little festival from Arda Güler in the area, his second goal of the season (0-3, 28e). After the break, Luka Modrić also made it, after a nice combination with Brahim Díaz and a ball obviously perfectly placed in Minera’s cage (0-4, 55e). It is moreover the Croatian’s first goal in the Copa del Rey… of his entire career. Güler concluded the festival by pushing an offering from García into the empty cage (0-5, 88e).
And Mbappé didn’t even score, watch out for the crisis!
