Although the two main players deny rumors of conflict between them, Elias Pettersson and JT Miller could both be traded by the Vancouver Canucks in the coming weeks.
“The Canucks are doing their homework and have several options on the table,” noted Sportsnet journalist Elliotte Friedman reported Saturday evening in Hockey Night in Canada.
Still according to Friedman, you have to be ready for any eventuality when it comes to the two star players.
“Neither could be traded. One of them could be traded. The two could be exchanged,” the reporter mentioned.
What is less ambiguous is what the Canucks would like to get in return.
“They would want a center player more than a defenseman,” Friedman said.
And if Miller accepts a trade, it would be with an American team.
The Canucks currently occupy the last position giving access to the playoffs in the West with a record of 18-12-8.
