A flop from Fredberg towards the exit this winter in Anderlecht? – All football

Jesper Fredberg pulled off some nice moves during his time as CEO Sports of Sporting Anderlecht. He also has some failures to his credit, of which Mads Kikkenborg can be said to be one.

Olivier Renard has his work cut out for him this winter for his first winter transfer window. Of course in the direction of arrivals: the César Huerta file is close to being concluded but is not easy to finalize, while the RSCA needs a central defender, among others.

To transfer in one direction, you will probably have to transfer in the other. Several players are undesirable or will not be retained in the event of a good offer. Among them are some Jesper Fredberg flops; this is the case, of course, of Zanka who is already mentioned in MLS and in Denmark (read here).

Another, more discreet, who could well leave is Mads Kikkenborg. The Danish goalkeeper arrived a year ago for 1.3 million euros from Lyngby, but never really convinced that he could become the successor to Kasper Schmeichel or the replacement for Colin Coosemans.

Having become number 2 this season, he received his chance in the Belgian Cup under David Hubert, at Tubize-Braine, without having to do much work but without dazzling either. It seems clear that Kikkenborg is a casting error and no longer has his place in Anderlecht.

According to the Swedish media The football channelan Allsvenskan club could well benefit from it. The Elfsborg club would be looking for a new goalkeeper, and would have an eye on Mads Kikkenborg who had impressed in Denmark under the colors of Esbjerg and Lyngby.

Elfsborg would have contacted the RSCA and Kikkenborg. It remains to be seen whether an offer will arrive on Olivier Renard’s table. The Danish goalkeeper has a contract until 2028 and is valued at 600,000 euros by Transfermarkt.
