Olympique de Marseille is starting to outline the outlines of its squad for next season. Among the avenues considered, the Marseille club would be interested in Gianluca Scamacca, striker for Atalanta Bergamo.
According to information reported by journalist Abdellah Boulma, OM is keeping a close eye on the player with a view to the 2025 summer transfer window. However, no concrete negotiations have yet started.
OM does not want to catch fire
Under contract until June 2027 with the Lombard club, Scamacca, 26, is going through a delicate period. Victim of a rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee last August during a friendly match, the Italian international has not played a single match this season. This long unavailability raises questions about his physical condition and could slow down OM's efforts.
Already associated in the past with Paris Saint-Germain, Scamacca will have to demonstrate that he can return to his best level to seduce the Marseille leaders. In the meantime, OM seems to favor cautious monitoring of this issue, while moving forward on other fronts, notably the imminent arrival of Luis Felipe to strengthen the defense this winter.
