TRANSFERS – SITEDuring the winter break, we take stock of the players who left Anderlecht this summer, focusing on five of them who played with the first team. While the oldest continues to shine, the young people encounter difficulties in establishing themselves. Zeno Debast, 21, joined Sporting Lisbon where he had a good start to the season with ten starts in 17 league matches and four in six Champions League matches. However, after the departure of coach Ruben Amorim to Manchester United, Debast lost his starting place and did not come into play in the last two matches.
Kasper Schmeichel, the 38-year-old goalkeeper, proves that he is not yet retired. With 29 appearances this season for Celtic, he remains the Danish national team’s undisputed number one, having conceded just seven goals in 19 league games. For his part, Kristian Arnstad, also 21 years old, is struggling to establish himself in Aarhus, where he has had five starts, and each replaced, and five appearances. Despite a promising start in the cup, his statistics remain modest with only one assist, while Aarhus ranks fourth. Thomas Delaney, 33, is establishing himself as a key element of FC Copenhagen. He appeared in 23 matches, scoring two goals and providing two assists. His team is currently at the top of the Danish championship and continues its journey in Europe. Finally, Federico Gattoni, 25, is having a mixed return to River Plate. After a good start with two starts, he quickly lost his place on the field, having started only five times in twenty matches. He has not yet had the opportunity to play in the Copa Libertadores and is awaiting the start of the new Argentinian season at the end of January.
