In Anderlecht, there is a lot of talk about reinforcements which should or could arrive in January. But it cannot be ruled out that Olivier Renard will also take care of departures.
The sporting director will have to take stock with the agent of certain players, who are closely followed by foreign clubs and who could therefore agree to take up a challenge elsewhere. This is particularly the case of Moussa N’Diaye, who found his place in the Anderlecht eleven after a complicated period.
“I worked hard”
“I’m in a very good dynamic. I hope to continue like this. Last year, an injury took me away from the field for five months. When I returned, my replacement was established. I worked hard to regain my place,” explains the player.
And when asked about the rumors of him moving to Nottingham Forest, he replied: “There are discussions, but I leave that to my agent. I remain focused on my performances. But as a championship, I love Spain. My dream is to return there.”
A player who signed a contract with Barcelona in 2020 but who failed to establish himself with the Blaugrana. “I had signed a contract with Barça to join the B team. Unfortunately when I arrived, I was injured, so I had to play with the U19s before fully joining the reserve team,” remembers N’Diaye .
“It was complicated at the beginning”
A player who had difficulties in Catalonia: “It was a bit complicated at the beginning because of the language barrier. I didn’t speak Spanish, but I got by in English, and some players also spoke English. Over time, I was able to adapt. In addition, I had a Spanish teacher who supervised me, and after a few months, I started speaking Spanish with my teammates.”
Integrated into the Barcelona group, he even had the opportunity to play two matches with the first team: “I think I managed them well. Ronald Koeman liked me a lot, but after two months, he was replaced by Xavi. With When Marcos Alonso arrived, there were three left-backs, and I had no more space.”
Arriving at Anderlecht in 2022, he is under contract with the Mauves until 2027 but could therefore leave before that. In the meantime, David Hubert can continue to count on the services of a player fully focused on his current club.
