Paris Saint-Germain fell again in the Champions League, losing 1-0 against Bayern Munich on Tuesday. If elimination approaches, PSG still has a little hope.
A 3rd defeat in 5 games and it is PSG which puts itself in great danger, with only 4 points on the clock. Luis Enrique's team, deprived of Dembélé who was sent off in the second half and guilty of a fatal error by Safonov on Kim Min-jae's goal, will have to recover quickly after this defeat against Bayern.
But how? The calculation is quickly done. With three games remaining, PSG must obtain between 8 and 10 points to hope to finish between 9th and 24th place and qualify for the play-offs. It will therefore be necessary… two or three victories out of the three matches.
3 wins and it's the play-offs
Three days before the end of the group stage, PSG has only 4 points and must win at least one match while avoiding losing the other two to hope to reach the play-offs. Two victories could move them up the rankings, and a flawless performance would guarantee them a place in the top 24.
The Parisians will notably have a trip to Salzburg (December 10), where a victory is crucial. They will also have to host Manchester City (January 22) and conclude in Stuttgart (January 29). But the task promises to be difficult given its recent performances.
