The French striker suffered an injury during Saturday’s match against Heidenheim, Bayer Leverkusen announced.
New injury at Bayer Leverkusen: French striker Martin Terriers fractured his right forearm during the match against Heidenheim on Saturday and will be absent until the end of 2024, his club announced on Sunday.
The former Rennais joins the long list of absentees from the reigning German champion club, like the German international Jonas Hofmann, injured in the right thigh and absent until the end of the year, but also Amine Adli (fibula fracture in mid-October) and Victor Boniface (thigh muscle injury).
Entering the game in the 77th minute of the Bundesliga match (5-2 victory for Bayer) in place of Florian Wirtz, Terrier had to leave the field a few minutes later. No surgery for the 27-year-old player who will however miss the last seven matches of 2024, including the eighth of the German Cup in Munich against Bayern in ten days and will be available again at the start of the new year.
