LThe Jura Sud club did not take this trip to Anglet lightly. Abdoulaye Baradji’s teammates arrived on the Basque coast the day before the match and pressed the Angloys very high from the start.
On the kick-off and on the second restart of the locals, Sayari twice deflects Feltrin’s clearance but he is unable to adjust the Angloy goalkeeper on his face-to-face (2nd). Behind, Valentin Guichard’s players were hampered by the Genêts’ system in the first period and were never dangerous for the young last line of defense, Feltrin.
A goal of space
Cédric Pardeilhan, forced and forced to make some changes in his starting lineup, due to absences due to injuries or choices (Lil. Laplace-Palette, Ruiz, Thomas, Chailleux, Rollin) or others at the last minute (Giffard), established Florian Becaas as right piston, Samuel Betina, lined up for the first time this season at the start of the match, and the younger Lapeyre, Mathis, as “sentinel” in front of the defense. Multiple changes which do not alter the desire of the Angloys who, in addition, allow themselves the luxury of opening the scoring with a goal from elsewhere from Becaas. Sticking thirty meters on his sideline, the right piston sends a cross-shot which lodges in the opposite window of Roche, a bit advanced (18th, 1-0). Betina then has two opportunities (23rd, 24th) to double the lead. In vain. His left-footed shot was deflected at the last moment and his header at the far post was off target.
The two teams return to the locker room with this fairly logical advantage for the Genêts, who were never worried during this first act.
Disjointed second period
The reaction of the visitors was not long in coming when they returned from the locker room. Arranged in a more offensive 4-2-3-1, they very quickly appear more dangerous. Daramy, who came on just before the break, serves Baradji in depth but the latter misses his last gesture (49th). Sayari uncrosses his header a few centimeters from Feltrin’s right post (52nd) and Sayari is very close to equalizing with his left foot (56th). But after fifteen minutes of defending in their fifty meters, Mendiburu’s teammates stuck their noses out of the window. On a big counter, the elder Lapeyre, well served behind by Becaas, gives the Genêts two goals in advance (63rd, 2-0). The Angloys almost killed the match because of two saves from Roche in front of Rey then T. Lapeyre (70th).
But at the height of local domination, the Jurassiens made Cédric Pardeilhan’s players crack. On a long ball from Roche, Khoutri is the quickest with a second chance to reduce the gap with a sharp point (73rd, 2-1). Ten minutes later, on another loose ball, it was Rota Chebira who dampened the Anglo hopes (84th, 2-2).
A meager point considering the expenditure of energy of Cédric Pardeilhan’s players who remain stuck at the bottom of the rankings.
The reaction
Cédric Paredilhan, Anglet coach: “There is frustration, disappointment too. There are lots of negative feelings even though we showed some very interesting things this (Saturday) evening. We concede goals on balls that are lying around, we don’t score the third which would have ruined the game. It’s very frustrating to deal with in the future given our excess of energy. But in our situation, a point is a point. And that makes three matches in a row without a defeat at home. We’re still here. »
