Felipe Contepomi revealed his starting XV to challenge France this Friday, at the Stade de France. The Argentine coach decided to rely on the backbone who narrowly lost last week in Ireland.
The Pumas will have – as often – a French accent this Friday, at the Stade de France. Argentinian coach Felipe Contepomi has decided to rely on his contingent of players playing in the Top 14, for this meeting between France and Argentina (kick-off 9:10 p.m.). The Pumas boss has summoned ten men on his match sheet who play on the pitches of our beloved Top 14 all year round.
Mallia and Delguy in the back of the field
Among the starters, Rochelais Joel Sclavi should normally be opposed to his teammate Uini Atonio. In the rest of the pack, the Bordeaux player Guido Petti, in second row, and the Perpignan player Joaquin Oviedo in number eight will start. Behind, Clermont winger Bautista Delguy and Toulouse versatile Juan Cruz Mallia will provide cover for the South American backfield.
Contepomi also decided to make a change in his starting XV compared to the narrow defeat in Ireland: scrum-half Gonzalo Garcia took the place of Gonzalo Bertranou. On the bench, two changes should be noted with the return of Clermontois Marcos Kremer and Bayonnais Mateo Carreras.
