Positive since the power play is far from being a strong point this season. Faced with a direct competitor, Anglet became aware of the stakes of this move. The neutral zone was won in this first third, by the visitors who dominated their subject, although they put themselves in danger on power play.
Parades
The second period begins with largely avoidable sanctions and two new numerical inferiorities to negotiate. Fortunately there is solidity behind, that the locals have a lot of difficulty being realistic, with a rather sterile offensive game. These 20 minutes are more delicate for the Angloys who resist, turning their backs to resist the opposing waves. But by dint of falling back, and above all showing themselves to be very undisciplined, they will logically be caught in the score shortly before returning to the locker room (1-1, 37′).
Regrettable, because not much was shown on the ice. But it could have been much worse without Saint Cyr who made numerous saves in the cages. By playing more and suffering more, Anglet logically finds himself racing behind. Saint Cyr pushes back once again, but can do nothing on the second restart (2-1, 43′). Stéphane Barin’s squad is no longer there at all, and concedes the break only a minute later (3-1, 44′).
