“After Wimbledon 2023, I was really in the dark”

I think if I was number 1, I might feel different.”declared the one who has never gone beyond the 8th finals at Wimbledon. “To me, numbers 2, 3, 4 and 5 are all interchangeable if you’re not number 1. I didn’t pay too much attention to it.” According to Coco Gauff, “everyone has the same opportunities” to win the title“it’s just a matter of who performs best that week.”
Beaten in the first round last year, the American doesn’t have good memories of it. “It was a tough time for me. I think the next two or three weeks I was really in the dark. That experience taught me that a bad moment doesn’t last forever. I have a lot grown up. I am happy to have taken advantage of this moment to strive to improve myself. I still know that I am far from being good enough.
