Hamdallah about to be transferred to a higher ranked club?

At the end of his best season from an accounting point of view at Al-Ittihad, Abderrazak Hamdallah would be on the verge of leaving the yellow and black club.

Despite losing the title to the invincible Al-Hilal, Abderrazak Hamdallah can be proud of his season on an individual level. In 38 matches in all competitions, the international Moroccan (25 caps, 7 goals, not called up since October 2023) scored 29 times, finishing both as the club’s best for the second consecutive season and third best goal scorer in the Saudi Pro League (19 goals). For comparison, Frenchman Karim Benzema, who arrived as a rock star last summer, scored “only” 13 goals in 29 appearances.

Direction Al-Taawoun ?

All the essential ingredients to possibly extend your stay in Jeddah. But no. While his contract expires next year, the 33-year-old is very close to leaving, according to information from journalist Ahmed Aljadi. Indeed, the latter informs that the native of Safi would be in the process of being transferred to another Saudi club, Al-Taawoun, fourth in the last edition of SPL, just ahead of Al-Ittihad. Information corroborated by Goal Arabiafurther indicating that Al-Ittihad would be looking for another non-EU striker.

If this possible movement would be surprising, it would perhaps be the final outcome between the scorer and his club which did not particularly support him at the end of the year, while he faced sanctions after having been victim of whipping in the Saudi Super Cup final (1-4 defeat) on April 11. Hamdallah had said he had
“forgiven” to his attacker, so that “the affair ends once and for all”.
