Real Madrid, a leader puts Mbappé back in his place after his political stance

A Real Madrid executive spoke on Friday about Kylian Mbappé’s political stance in France.

The French team is currently preparing for its round of 16 against Belgium at Euro 2024 on Monday. But the Blues are also carefully following the evolution of the political situation in the country with the legislative elections. A situation which also made certain players react, including Kylian Mbappé a few days ago. However, the latter’s strong opinion does not please everyone and especially a boss of Real Madrid.

Dani Carvajal disapproves of Kylian Mbappé’s approach

In the middle of the legislative campaign in France, the Blues made a muscular exit shortly before their entry into the Euro against Austria. After Marcus Thuram, who clearly invited the people to vote against the RN, Kylian Mbappé also declared that he was against the extremists. An outing which provoked divergent opinions in the French political sphere and even in the world of football. And this is precisely what Dani Carvajal avoids by keeping his political position for himself, unlike Mbappé.

« The moment you express your opinion, a certain part will praise you and another part will criticize you. These opinions are immutable. As a player, I keep my political ideology to myself. I have done it throughout my career and I will continue to do it. Ultimately, everyone’s vote is private”says the vice-captain of Real Madrid in an interview with Cadena SER.

Carvajal’s vision for his country

Although he does not approve of Kylian Mbappé’s approach, Dani Carvajal does not hold it against the captain of the French team. For the Spanish international, present at the Euro with La Roja, the happiness and fulfillment of the people are the most important.

“But if he thinks it’s the right thing to do… Fine.” All I want and wish for my country is that we have a country that prospers, a country where we feel safe, a country where unemployment is reduced, where we are all happy and where we can travel the world with our flag flying high and boasting that we have, if not the best, one of the best countries in the world”, explains Carvajal.
