In March 2022, armed men allegedly threatened him to extract a large sum of money. A case which would involve his own brother, Mathias Pogba, as well as several childhood friends. In mid-June, the Paris prosecutor’s office requested a criminal trial for six individuals at the end of the investigation. The decision whether or not to refer the case to trial now rests with the investigating judge.
