This Sunday, June 30, nearly 33 million of them went to their polling station to express themselves, allowing participation to reach 64.99%, compared to 46.46% in 2022, an increase of nearly 20 points. But this increase of nearly 10 million voters (i.e. 40% more) did not benefit the different parties in the same proportions.

The National Rally and its allies, followed closely by a more powerful than expected New Popular Front (at 27.99%), obtained nearly 33.15% of the vote in the first round of the legislative elections on June 30. In 2022, the party with the flame only reached third place behind the alliance of the left (New Ecological and Social Popular Union, ex-NFP) and the presidential majority, with 18.68% of the votes. In percentages of votes cast, the RN multiplied its score by 1.8.
