A great hope for FC Barcelona, striker Marc Guiu is expected to join Chelsea in the coming days. The player could then be loaned to Strasbourg for the 2024/2025 season.

Integrated into the Barcelona professional group this season, Marc Guiu participated in 7 matches, scoring the first goal of his career in his first match with Barça, one minute after coming on. The 18-year-old striker also scored his first goal in the Champions League, in the 95th minute against Antwerp. Not seeing any prospect of significant play next season, the player wants to leave FC Barcelona to continue his progress.
A good recruit for Strasbourg?
According to FootMercato, it is only a matter of time before he joins Chelsea. As has been the case for several years, the English club has big plans for the transfer window. The Blues’ leaders are reportedly interested in Jonathan David or Alexander Isak. Already having a fairly full attacking sector, Chelsea should loan Guiu after his official move to Strasbourg, which, let us recall, became Chelsea’s satellite club. Since its acquisition by Todd Boehly, Strasbourg has regularly welcomed young people from the English team. Chelsea had loaned Angelo and Andrey Santos for the 2023/2024 season.
Although Guiu is still inexperienced, his profile could make him an interesting signing. He is a physical player who has a lot of room for improvement. Strasbourg could therefore welcome several Chelsea players next season since defender Aaron Anselmino, who joined Chelsea for €17 million, will join the Alsatian club for the coming season.
However, nothing has been done yet on the Racing Club de Strasbourg side. The player is still very young, Chelsea’s leaders are also considering the possibility of having him play with the U23s before loaning him out.
