3×3 basketball comes from the free and creative practice of street basketball. It is also and above all one of the new disciplines of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. A little-known discipline but which will be the subject of a demonstration on June 29 in Retiers (Ille-et-Vilaine).

“This type of basketball is played by teams of three players, on a half-court. The two teams attack and defend the same basket depending on who has possessionexplains expert Thibault Rupin, trainer at the Retiers basketball club. As part of its promotion, this Retiers club has installed since Wednesday June 26 an outdoor 3×3 basketball court on the Retiers sports complex on the occasion of the Sports Festival on Saturday June 29. This field was made available by the Brittany basketball league.
