OM will experience significant changes this summer during the transfer market. The future of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is not yet certain at Canebière.

In Marseille, the next arrival of Roberto De Zerbi is eagerly awaited. The Italian arrives with a lot of expectations around him. The former Brighton player already has very specific ideas of what he wants for his team. He will also have to make strong decisions with certain senior players. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang could be one of Marseille’s big losses this summer. If he looks ahead to the new season, he is very courted by Saudi Arabia and the Al-Shabab club, which offers him a golden bridge. At 35, PEA will therefore have to make a strong choice, all with his father and agent. However, for some of his friends and compatriots, he would be well advised to stay at OM for at least one more season.

Aubameyang, the vagueness is total

During a few words exchanged with Afrik Foot, Daniel Cousin has indeed given his opinion on the future of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. For him, the prospect of working with De Zerbi is too good to be true: « It will depend on his father who is his agent. I would have liked him to stay another year because I believe he can still play at a high level.. Afterwards, everything will depend on the offer he receives and the ambitions too. I live in Marseille, so I know the city a little. If he has to stay at OM just to play the championship without a European Cup, is he interested? I don’t know ! But for me, as a Franco-Gabonese who lives in Marseille, I would like there to be another year to help the club return to Europe.” Still under contract at Olympique de Marseille until June 2026, the former Arsenal player could allow his club to make a good deal in the event of his departure. But he will probably never be pushed out. It’s up to him to make the best choice for his career and the rest of his professional life.
